Before you apply
A current business licence for every state you work in, general liability insurance with the certificate, three contactable client references from the last 18 months, and a portfolio of real events. For caterers we also need the health permit; for bar services, the beverage licence.
No, at any tier. Commission-based directories create pressure to raise prices for the client and cut quality to protect margin. We charge a flat subscription instead, and we would rather you spent that money on your own equipment.
Most commonly lapsed insurance, no written contract, or references that do not check out. Sometimes it is simply that we already have strong coverage in that category and city — in which case we will tell you and keep your application on file.
It depends heavily on your category and city, and we will not pretend otherwise. Before you upgrade we will tell you what volume we are actually seeing in your category and area so you can decide whether a paid tier is worth it.
Featured is month to month, cancel any time, no notice period. Preferred Partner is an annual agreement with a 60-day exit clause. Your free listing stays either way.
