Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms govern your use of this website and the free planning tools. Planning services themselves are governed by the separate written contract you sign before any work begins; where the two differ, your signed contract controls.

The marketplace

Vendors listed in our directory are independent businesses, not our employees or agents. We verify licensing, insurance and references before listing, and we re-check annually, but we do not guarantee any vendor’s performance. When you contract directly with a vendor, that contract is between you and them.

Bookings and payment

  • A 30% retainer confirms your date and is credited in full against your package
  • The balance is due in two instalments, the last no later than 14 days before the event
  • Retainers are non-refundable, because we stop selling your date once it is held
  • Date-change protection lets you move once to any available date within 18 months at no planner fee

Cancellation

Cancel more than 180 days out and you owe only the retainer. Between 180 and 90 days, 50% of the package fee. Inside 90 days, the full fee, because the work is substantially complete by then. Third-party vendor cancellation terms are set by those vendors.

Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events outside reasonable control, including severe weather, public-health orders, venue closure or loss of utilities. In those cases we will work with you to reschedule and will waive our own date-change fee.

Liability

Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

Images and content

Photographs on this site are used with permission. We may photograph your event for our portfolio; tell your planner in writing if you would rather we did not, and we will note it in your file.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and the courts of Dallas County have exclusive jurisdiction.
