It depends on hours of coverage, whether you want a second shooter, and what is included in the delivery. At the lower end of any market you are generally buying someone’s first season, which is sometimes a bargain and should at least be a conscious choice. We will shortlist three photographers inside your number so you can compare like for like.

A good DJ reads a room better and costs a third as much; a good band is an event in itself and needs more space, more power and a longer load-in. Many of our clients do a band for the first two hours and a DJ after, which we can package as one booking.

Ninety minutes for couple portraits and family groups is comfortable; an hour is tight; thirty minutes means you will be disappointed. We build it into the timeline properly and we will push back if the schedule does not allow it.

Every contract we negotiate includes a replacement clause, and our network means we can usually have an equivalent shooter on site within hours. It has happened four times in eighteen years and every couple got their photographs.
